COMPANY HISTORY -

In 1983, Steven De Bono, Dental Technician, started Bon-Dent Dental Laboratory in a spare room at his residence and employed one technician servicing only 2 dental surgeries at the time. Within 6 months a further 10 dental surgeries were sending dental prosthetic appliances. Due to high standards within the dental industry, work became too demanding for 2 technicians, so another technician and an apprentice were employed.

To further his skills, Steven did a 2 year part-time course for Advanced Dental Technician which was completed in 1985. Other courses such as crown & bridge through Halas Dental, RMIT and Ivoclar Vivadent were completed to further his education and skills. Steven demanded high quality work from his staff, to the same level of his artistry in constructing dentures.

The laboratory was expanding too fast in a short period, so Steven relocated to central St.Albans. Here, he is now able to consult with patients as well as service dental surgeries. The laboratory was becoming successful as was Stevens reputation.

Due to success, the laboratory was relocated to 41 Taylors Road St.Albans in 1999. Location was important, across the road from Keilor Central with easy bus access and 2 freeways (Calder Fwy and Western Ring Rd). Steve aimed for high quality work being done as his patients became demanding which resulted to more work.

With 40 years of experience there is a need for higher quality and better esthetics, BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) of denture making was introduced in 2003. These dentures give each patient personalised dentures whose comfort, fit and function allows their smile to look more natural. Steven specialises in BPS dentures, there is enormous satisfaction from the patient and the prosthetist to be able to deliver such a high quality product.
